Understanding Hoof report

The Hoof report is a combination of over 95 factors that drives the engine to
improving our current handicapping report. You the user are capable of setting
filters that will change the report output and selections depending on your setup.

There are 2 types of factors, common and individual factors. Common factors
in horse racing generally have more than one horse qualifying for a particular
factor. This type of factor may have a high Win, Place or Show percentage or even
an extremely high winning ROI. Why so? Let's assume we have a race
card today with 10 races. In each of those 10 races there are 4 horses that
qualify for a certain factor and in ALL races there was a winner that day displayed
this particular factor. Rather than saying we had a 25% hit rate for this factor that
day we will display it as 100% success rate for horses who display this factor.

Why would you include stats for common factors which might represent higher win,
place and show percentages as well as higher ROI's? In this game I found it to be
a culmination of several factors that constitute a winning effort by a horse and
those factors include common factors.

Individual factors will normally have only 1 horse that will qualify for the factor
with rare occasions where 2 horses who may qualify. You will find this type of
factor to have lower percentages and roi's while being more in line with actual
winning statistics. This type of factor is reliable in the sense that it was scored
using only one horse in most instances.

Once the report is generated we list the top 4 horses on the report. Depending on
the value you set before the report is ran will determine how many points this will
add to our regular handicapping reports. If a horse qualifies for 30 factors and you
had set the value to 3x then we add 90 points to the power rating of that horse.

Several ways one could use the Hoof report information in their handicapping...
Our original report was designed as a handicapping sheet and now with the
addition of the Hoof report you will have access to information that will help you
better understand the Class, Form and Speed of the entries in each race.
Should you decide that you would rather use our basic handicapping reports as a
stand alone handicapping sheet then you must set the report value in the Hoof
report to 0.
