One of the most interesting features of Thorostats is the program performance
tool. This is a searchable index of all past results of our selections. You can
research the various factors under different conditions and odds in order to find
profitable spots in which to play these selections.
This is an invaluable tool for tracking how the program is doing at your track. You
are given the ability to search by date, class, surface, dist, sex, age and track
condition. You can research track trends and compare with results from a year
ago to confirm those trends still exist today. While we provide the ability to
research how Thorostats is performing, we cannot predict the future of today’s
races.
Also use the exclude features to limit or narrow odds lines. For instance, by
selecting the exclude favorites and entering in 5.99, and selecting the exclude
longshots and entering 32.99, we are essentially asking the program to only look
at reports and produce stats where the races fell between 2/1 and 15/1 at closing
odds for that race.
When analyzing past races, we suggest 20 or more races of analyzed data,
however you may feel comfortable with less. In certain class levels of tracks, you
may find it impossible to achieve this number. Use what feels comfortable or
profitable for you.
Not only should you analyze races from within the last week or month, but also run
the program performance on races 6-12 months ago to verify that the statistics are
holding up over time. While this type of scenario maybe best, you will not always
find where the statistic remains constant. In this case try using data from the last
week or within a month while maintaining a comfortable number of races used for
the report.
The more you use the program performance tool, the more you will like it. No
other site that we know of, posts their statistics for all to see on a daily, monthly
and yearly basis.
