What's the best way to use Thorostats Reports?

We believe that our selection reports offer something for every level of
handicapper. Beginners or folks who want selections can use the consensus quick
page report for a list of the top selections. Print this report and take it to the track
and you will have a head start on identifying the contenders in each race. You can
then focus your handicapping on these selections with confidence that you are
evaluating the runners who have a greater chance to win their race.

Handicappers who do more comprehensive handicapping for the races will find the
factor ratings useful in identifying class moves and pace contenders that may have
been overlooked using a different method.  Compare our ratings to your software
output to point to longer priced contenders that one or the other methods may
have overlooked. This is a good way to identify an under bet contender for the win
spot.

Use the speed figures in our selection reports as a stand alone tool to identify a
runners form and condition. Our top speed figure runner, over the past three races,
should not be dismissed lightly. This number points to a horse that has proven to
run at a speed above the others in this race. An inspection of current form and
tote board odds will guide you in placing a wager on the top speed figure horse in a
race. Speed figure ratings that are above the race class level indicate a strong
field. Speed figures below the race class level point to a weaker field and as a
result they are less predictable taken by themselves.

Thorostats selection reports provide the information necessary to see the race
shape that is most likely to take place in the running. Look for the runner who will
most benefit from the pace setup for the race. A sustained runner, ranked in the
pace factor, will have a greater advantage when running behind multiple early
style runners who will battle for the lead. This type of race can be determined with
a quick look at the report information.

Trainer, jockey and owner statistics rank the highest percentage of win and place
combinations between the connections. It is very handy to see at a glance the top
combination in the race. You can have confidence that this trainer is trying to win
the race. This is a big part of the handicapping puzzle. You need to know when the
connections show favorable signs for the race their horse will compete. Our
statistics here offer a unique look at the connections that you cannot get from
other information providers.

Our power rating is the combined rating for the thirty plus items of information
that are analyzed for each race. When runners are at a similar class and condition
as their last race the power number will be predictive of the top contenders. In any
race where all of the runners show more that 3 races in the past performance do
not forget to look at the power rating for the contenders. An advantage of more
than 10 points is a very likely pointer to the best runner in that field.
